The Museu Picasso makes its website (contents, texts, images, graphic design resources, databases and all other material) available to the public in order to inform about its activities and offer its services. The majority of this content is protected by intellectual property rights that correspond either to the Museu Picasso or to third parties who have authorised its use.
Except in cases explicitly and expressly authorised by Intellectual Property Law (consolidated text approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996, of 12 April), any reproduction, distribution, public communication or other use of the work of Pablo Picasso requires prior authorisation of the Picasso Estate, represented in Spain by VEGAP (Visual Entidad de Gestión de Artistas Plásticos). Unless specifically indicated otherwise, the contents produced by the Museu Picasso may be reproduced, distributed and publicly communicated as long as the source is cited, under the terms of the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0). If contents and materials from the Museu Picasso website are used online, a link to its homepage (www.museupicassobcn.cat) must be included.
Texts signed by their author, images (photographs and videos) and other reproductions of works of visual art may only be used in accordance with the reproduction rights recognised in the Intellectual Property Law. For other uses, prior authorisation must be requested from the Museu Picasso.
The Museu Picasso logo and all the designs and symbols that identify its activities and services may only be reproduced and used with prior authorisation of the museum, or when it is intended to identify activities or initiatives that have the explicit support of the Museu Picasso.
