Art and technology are the two central elements of a festival that has become consolidated as one of the most attractive proposals of the festivities of Santa Eulàlia. Go out for a stroll when the sun goes down and discover an unusual skyline of the city. The nights of February 7th, 8th and 9th, Llum BCN will turn the streets of Barcelona into the stage for an avant-garde show in which light and the architecture of very diverse periods are the major protagonists.

What's the relation between medieval times and Cubism? The answer is a lot, when we talk about the Palau Finestres. The building of Montcada street, with original structures from the 18th century, underwent many reforms and additions until, in 1970, the City Council acquired it, and it became the venue for the Museu Picasso. Now the courtyard of the palace is taking on a new life thanks to the students of Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic of the Institut del Teatre, that, with their proposal of lighting, show the medieval character of the space highlighting the most notable architectural elements with a yellow light. At the same time, however, the project makes reference to the cubist character of many of the works of art that the building contains, an aspect to which it alludes with the blue lighting.
