Lola and the Vilató brothers played a fundamental role in preserving the artistic treasure of Picasso's early years. An artistic treasure that travelled around part of the geography of Barcelona (Carrer de la Mercè, Passeig Colom and Passeig de Gràcia) to the rhythm of the changes of address of the Ruiz-Picasso family and the Vilató-Ruiz couple, until its final arrival in the Museu Picasso.

Xavier Vilató, Picasso’s first great-nephew, will talk about his relationship with the painter and the work of his great-uncle, in a conversation that will surely offer significant clues about the custody of Picasso’s treasure.

The event is designed as a conversation between Xavier Vilató and the curator of the exhibition Lola Ruiz Picasso, Malén Gual.
