Carmen Calvo is an artist who investigates, critically but at the same time poetically, the vestiges of the past and the memory of our country.
The artist's studio is a world of accumulation and overflow, where found and sought-after objects await. Carmen Calvo moves between accumulation and synthesis, between filling and emptying, between the hidden and the visible.
In this session we are going to explore the poetic and creative world of the Valencian artist, talking about her conceptual and artistic references and her genealogy in the art world of the last fifty years, passing through feminism, popular culture or criticism of archetypes, among many other topics.
Program
6pm. Guided visit to the Carmen Calvo exhibition led by an educator from the Museu Picasso.
7pm. Conversation between Carmen Calvo, artist, Victoria Combalía and Emmanuel Guigon, curators of the exhibition.
