Created in 2011, this is a space of local and international reference in the study and research of Picasso and his artistic and social context. With this mission, the Centre conserves and disseminates the art documentary collection of the Archive and the Library; it supports the Museum's scientific project and promotes research, reflection and critical debate.
The Research Centre is equipped with the necessary tools and spaces to conserve and make the Museum's art documentary collection available to the community, always with the idea of giving it value in the context of artistic and historical processes. In this way, the work of the Centre is aimed at creating an integrated system of documentation and knowledge that respects the organisational processes and theoretical assumptions of each document according to its nature
Following the institution's strategic lines and the Museum Collection's foundations, the Centre develops further research and cultural expansion programmes.
